“One-on-one discipleship is a powerful tool to reach out to close friends and guild relationships as illustrated by the ‘motorcycle.’” -Angelito (Student)

The Relational Discipleship Network Training, spearheaded by the College President of the Philippine College of Ministry, Ptr. Arnulfo O.Pasion, was held on November 18th, 2022, with lead Pastor Fernando & Marivic Feliciano of Northshore Christian Church.

Ptr. Arnold stated that "Christian Ministry (especially in the area of church growth) can, sometimes, be complicated. For the reason that pastors lack the time and resources to create and personalize a system that would work in their respective churches. Furthermore, it could be tedious and very time-consuming to embark on such a goal without a team or staff to work with."

It is the goal of the college to equip the students and future graduates, not only with intellectual and theological leanings; but more so with practical tools, they can use as they embark on pastoral ministry. Sir Arnold tied up with Northshore Christian Church to bring a RELATIONAL DISCIPLESHIP NETWORK to PCM.

RELATIONAL DISCIPLESHIP

Relational Discipleship is based on the biblical premise that discipleship and church growth happens when intentionality and relation are present. Relational Discipleship is intentionally speaking the Gospel message in the context of a relationship to help others pursue God. At its core, Christian maturity happens when a person has a meaningful and accountable relationship with a mature believer or group of people who are investing their lives to help this person grow spiritually. As more and more people are connected digitally, there is a need to connect in person or with a group of people in a caring environment. Relational Discipleship is not about the transference of knowledge from one person to another; it is life on life; it is an avenue for believers and non-believers for deep and accountable relationships. It is biblical, and practical as Jesus would have done it.

PCM extends our gratitude to the leadership of Northshore Christian Church, Scott Harris, lead Pastor; Fernando & Marivic Feliciano who were instrumental in bringing the Relational Discipleship Network to the Philippines.
