PCM BOUNCED BACK

The Philippine College of Ministry celebrated its 30th  Foundation Anniversary on October 28, 2022, with the theme "RESILIENCE.”  The Guest of Honor, Ptr. Charles Bautista, the current Alumni President, praised PCM for persevering in the face of the devastating effects of the global pandemic.

According to his research, 865 private schools were closed in 2020–2021, but PCM remained open. He was inspired by how this small college bounced back compared to big colleges and universities and continually fulfilled the Great Commission by training men and women for the mission. Indeed, this is not the work of men but the work of God. God has supported the college through the efforts of individuals, churches, and missionaries.

LOST BUT NOW HAS BEEN FOUND

With his teary eyes, Ptr. Charles reminisced on his experience at the college. He was once lost but now has been found. He was appreciative that the college didn't give up on him as he pursued his Bachelor of Theology over seven years.

He still recalls how one of his professors advised him to go home and plant "kamote" due to his stubbornness. However, he was now appreciative of the professor's comment because it marked the beginning of a turning point in his life where he began to take his academic career seriously.

"Who knows whether this once-disruptive, aimless, and confused individual will one day develop into a great minister of God?"

Ptr. Charles ended his message by strongly encouraging everyone, especially the Alumni, to extend their support to their Alma Matter. Keeping in mind that they were once lost as well but have now been found through PCM.

He urged them to partner with PCM with their prayers and supports in producing more servant leaders who will bring about change in their communities, countries, and the rest of the world.
